Rakuzen, Desa Park City, located near the Desa Park City playground. Entrance looked really good, cosy and nice. Nothing too fancy, which is good after coming back from a hard day's work.
This place is still relatively new, hence their menu and cutleries are still in very good condition, as you can see from the pictures below...
First, what is Japanese cuisine without sashimi? :) The sashimi is fresh, and portion is moderately generous.
As you can see in the below picture, this is the raw version of the fish they call Bonito! It is more familiar when they are dried up and sliced til very thin slices, and placed on top of hot tako-takos, and will start 'dancing' when they feel the heat.
Pictures below shows the generous portion of sashimi, both the salmon and salmon belly. The salmon belly is a must try as it has a hint of sweetness when left lingering in the mouth a little longer...Next up is something you do not see very often, that would be Japanese rice noodles in sour plum sauce! Initially I thought that it sounded too funky for my liking, but tasting it change my opinion of it in a jiffy. Must try too!
So there you have it, a short escapade to serenity, enjoying good japanese food and relaxing the mind at the same time... :)
